Amelia Maness-Gilliland is the founder of Mom's Daily Retreat in Mesa, Arizona. As a Myers Briggs Type Indicator® Certified Professional, Amelia works with moms on various issues including personality styles and the influence our personality has on how we parent, how we manage the bliss and the chaos of life, and career related issues that moms face who are either currently working or planning to return to work.
Amelia is a professor at Kaplan University where, for more than 5 years, she has taught seminars on career development, time management, stress management and other topics related to experiencing success in personal, professional and academic areas of life.
Amelia holds a BA in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Experiential Education and is completing a PhD in Adult/Postsecondary Education. She has been working with groups as well as individuals for over 15 years, incorporating experiential learning theory into all of her programs. She brings "real world" experience to her individual and group coaching approach.
Amelia is an active member of the Association for Psychological Type International, National Career Development Association, Council on Adult & Experiential Learning, Association for the
Advancement of Computing in Education and American Association for Adult & Continuing Education. Amelia is a certified Human Resource Development & Training professional, certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator® professional and is presently completing the requirements to become a certified Career Counselor.
Amelia lives in Mesa, AZ with her husband and 5 children and is an active volunteer in her community where she serves on various education boards.
